私の場合も win98 で見ている限りは競合しているものは何もないはずなのですが、
Plamo 1.4 をインストール後、simple disk で起動させると、

この位置で起動が停止してしまいました。

その後 BIOS のいくつかの設定をいじったりしたのですが、
これはやっぱり何かのカードかと思い、
(１)soundblaster  IRQ5
(２)ネットワークカード
   Realtek RTL8029 EtherNet adapter  IRQ11
この２つのカードを順番にぬいてみました。

soundblaster を抜いた状態ではやっぱり起動は停止したのですが、
ネットワークカードを抜いてしまったら、起動しました。

こういうことも関係するのですか、なんかすごいですね。

soundblaster とネットワークカードを抜いた状態ではログが取れましたので、
長いですが、つけておきます。
なにがしか今後こういう問題も多いかもしれないですね。
ともあれ、起動しない原因がこのあたりにあるとあたりをつけることはできたので、
なんとか対処できるでしょう。
