添付の README にこんな風に書いてありました。

 VMware absolutely requires glibc support on the host operating
 system. Errors such as "no such file or directory" when trying to run

plamo2.0 のほうにいれてみましたら、ちゃんと起動します。ただし、私はい
まお試しにいれてみただけなので、細かい設定は全然やっていませんので、ど
んなアプリケーションが動くかはわかりません。

wine も動くし、日本語化がどこまでできているかかな。
