一言で言うと、ln -sf /dev/hdc /dev/dvd とかして、/dev/dvd が利用できる
状況で、

$ xine dvdnav://

と起動してみてください。

DVD の中には、mpeg2 なデータを暗号化して収録しているものがあり(「複製
不能」とか書いてあるのはそう)、それを再生するためには DeCSS というライ
ブラリを使う必要があるのですが、このライブラリがちょっとややこしい状況
なんですよね。
