[plamo:01021] How can I enable the /dev/lpx ?

plamo を入れ直したところ、今まで動いていた lp0 が動かなくなりました。
plamo の mini を nopci.img で install し、体験実験しています。
勉強のため、gs 関連を compile/test していましたが、うまく行かず、
scratch からやり直そうと、再度 setup をしたところ、lp0 が動きません。
setup, /etc/printcap, lpc restart all  等は以前と変えていません。
現在の状況は以下の通りです。
1) dmesg | grep lp --> response なし 
2) lpc status      --> lp: queing is enabled, 
                       printing is enabled,
                       1 entry in spool area. 
                       waiting for lp to become ready (offline?) 
3) tunelp /dev/lp0 --> /dev/lp0: No such device.
となります。(lp1 でもおなじ結果です)
boot 時の printer lump は 電源 -> 点検 -> 印刷 と正常です。 
boot 直後の dmesg を見たところ、次のような message がありました。
（ 関係ないかもしれませんが．．．）
ppa:Version 1.42
ppa:Probing port 03bc  (#前の io port が 03bc ?であったように思います)  
ppa:    SPP port present
ppa:    EPP not supported at this address
ppa:Probing port 0378
ppa:Probing port 0278
念のため、何度か setup をやり直しましたが、同じ結果です。

gs, dviprt などの test で、とんでもないポカをして、
printer に damage を与えたのではないかと思いましたが、
Win95 から print したところ、いつもの通りに動きました。

どうすれば recovery 出来るか、お力をおかし下さい。
