早速最新バージョンをってきました。
makeを試みましたがエラーがでてしまって・・・
ヘッダファイルが見つからないといった内容でした。
インストールが正しくできていないかもと思い/usr内をfindして
見ましたがやはりヘッダファイルは見つかりませんで、結局使えずじまいです
因みにmake時のlogを最後に添付させていただきます

TAの方はアルファテレコムのUTA-128/DSUというのです。因みにWindowsの方からはちゃんとダイア
ルアップできています。
また、今までふれてきませんでしたがノーパソの方からのダイアルアップも正常にできました。
そのときの設定をそのまま使ってもだめでした。

と、なるとデスクトップの方の問題かなぁという気がしますが・・・
Windowsの方では問題なくこうしてダイアルアップできているので・・・
結局ソフト的な問題が最有力候補と考えメイリングリストに助けを求めた次第です
