ライブラリが作成できたそうで，何よりです．
この configure のログをみると原因ははっきりしてますね，当該箇所は

で，なぜか shared library がサポートされてないと判断されています．ld の
バージョンは

 /usr/i386-pc-linux/bin/ld --version  
 GNU ld 2.10
 Copyright 2000 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
 This program is free software; you may redistribute it under the terms
of
 the GNU General Public License.  This program has absolutely no
warranty.
   Supported emulations:
    elf_i386
    i386linux

となってます．不思議ですね．無理やり

./configure --enable-shared

も効かないですか？ 

./configure --disable-shared

にすれば，*.so なしでもコンパイル自身は無事終了するでしょうが，ogle など
の
コンパイル時に *.so がないと怒られるかも．

libtool は同じです．うーーん，autoconf して configure を作成し直すすると
正しく反映される場合もあるようですが．
