[plamo:17168] kermit

松井と申します．お世話になります．

kermit について教えて頂けますでしょうか．

２台のPCをシリアルケーブル(クロス)で繋ぎ，片方のPC(下記hippo)からkermit
を使って接続しようと考えています．
kermitを起動し，
C-Kermit>set line /dev/modem
を実行すると，
/dev/ttyS0 is not a terminal device
Sorry, can't open connection: /dev/modem
と言われてしまいます．

何が原因でうまくいかないのか分かりません．ご教授頂けましたら幸いです．

環境：
Plamo 2.2.6
kernel 2.4.18
