[plamo:05001] カーネルのコンパイル

初めまして、はたけ＠広島大です。

この度、ftp サイトから Plamo Linux 2.0β for PC-98 を
ダウンロードして CD-R に焼いてインストールしました。

とりあえず、基本的なところ（X Window 回りなど）は
すんなり動いてくれたのですが、なぜか ppxp だけは
正常に動いてくれず、PPP 接続が出来ませんでした。

そこで、カーネルをコンパイルし直して、PPP に対応するように
しようと思いました。が、コンパイルし直したとき、
make modules を実行したにもかかわらず、カーネルが
モジュールを正常に認識してくれません。
/sbin/init が実行されたあと、延々と、モジュールのファイルを
探し初めて、無限ループにはまってしまいます。

どのようにすれば、モジュールを正常に認識させられるでしょうか？？
# できれば、正常に ppxp がわかるほうが嬉しいですが（笑）

知ってる方がいらっしゃれば、ご教示願いたいです。
