[plamo:17006] ftpd が時々落ちる

永田と申します。

Plamo Linux 3.0 を使っています。LinuxのPCからWindows2000へ ftp
でデータ転送をすると、時々Linuxのftpdが死ぬようで、転送が失敗し
ます。Linux PC: ftpサーバー , Windows 2000 : ftpクライアントです。
時々というとあいまいですが、数10MBのファイルを10個ほど転
送すると、途中でたいてい失敗します。

転送しているときに、Linux上のterminalでtopを走らせると、in.ftpd
というのが上の方にいるのですが、時々突然エントリが消えて、そのと
きにWindows 2000上では、ファイル転送にtimeoutで失敗しています。

また、ip addressを指定してWindows 2000側から、Linuxにpingをかけ
た場合、数分間LinuxとWindows 2000間の通信がない後だと、
Pinging xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with 32 bytes of data:

(xxx.xxx.xxx.xxxはLinux PCの IP address。一応ふせます)

に対し、その後もう一回pingをかけると今度は

になります。

こういう場合はどう調べたらいいんでしょうか？ dmesgにそれら
しきエラーはありません(と思います)。
ちなみに、Ether Cardは、CoregaのFEther PCI-TXMで、
/proc/pciを見てみると、
Ethernet controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT6102 [Rhine-II]
 (rev 66).
と出てました(関係あるかわかんないけど)。

また、Windows2000上のftpクライアントは、ffftpってやつです。
